Happy Solstice

Today starts the lengthening of days for those of us in the northern hemisphere; for those in the southern hemisphere, the days begin to get shorter. Around the time of the December solstice many countries in the northern hemisphere have celebrations that include fire or light. We bring light into our homes on Christmas trees or in Hanukkah Menorahs, Yule or Juul logs. European traditions include bonfires and torch lit processions.

To my fellow northerners I wish you the light of family and friends, love and forgiveness to warm the long nights of winter as we seek wisdom and inspiration for the New Year to come.
