End of Year Giving

If the holidays passed without a chance to consider your options for charity giving, doing so as a new year's resolution is even better! Charitable donations tend to slow down after the holidays, so your donation is greatly appreciated. Whether you donate annually or on a regular basis, every little bit helps as they say. If you make a  financial donation to a non-profit business today you can deduct it on your 2010 tax returns. Pick one of your favorite local charities, search the web for a charity working with your favorite cause, or consider one of these.

Bead for Life - I have some of these wonderful beads. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads.

First Book -Provides books to young children in need.

The Heifer Project - The heifer Project brings hope and help to poor families worldwide by providing livestock and agricultural gifts, training and support.

The Rainforest Site - One click a day funds the purchase of rain-forest land.

Seva Foundation - The Seva Foundation gives gifts of service and medical assistance to those in need.

Vitamin Angels - "Vitamin Angels reduces child mortality worldwide by connecting essential nutrients, especially vitamin A, with infants and children under five. Essential nutrients enable young immune systems to fight infectious diseases, helping children attain good health and the opportunity to lead meaningful and productive lives."
